I begin my Buddha altar in the most simplest style which is just a small stood for my buddhism statue, an incense holder, a lotus lamp  and a cup for holding water. Over the years later, i had been upgrading the accessories and adding on with a newer and proper altar and finally had myself a thai style altar. Below images is the most recent that i would like to share here.

Main Altar - Buddha Jinaraja, LP Thuad, Lp Sothorn and Medicine Buddha which mainly the consecrated items on my main altar.

The colorful background is actually a picture frame which i designed for it as i had read it somewhere that says all altars must have a firm background representing a strong will altar. this is something about feng shui. Anyway, i had a nice silk satin material which is use for making chinese traditional dresses and so i have it place. It's sating in Red with gold satin thread embroilded with flowers and vines. I have always like to decorate altar and so i did this one for my main altar. Placing a small fluorescent light in the back of Buddha for a nice soft backlight. Next...

My current main altar and Thai Style altar

Thai Style Altar.

I build this altar sometime in december 2011.  After having it in my meditation room, i decided to move it out next to main altar as the meditation room is warm during the day. evidance of it is the two yellow candles as you can see in image, bending due to heat build up in the room. However in my main hall, there isn't such case.

Medicine Buddha Thangka - had this make sometime in August 2012.

My 1st altar - simple one
