Vipassana Meditation camp. 31st December 2011 at Bodhi Heart Sanctury.

I attended a 3days course for vipassana meditation recently on the new year's eve of 2012. The whole course was very interesting and results orientated though i did not finish the 3 days. Reason was, i over-stress myself on the 1st day itself. The walking meditation and seating is alot of effort but it is neccesary as it enhance the mind to the deepest. i learning knowingly, knowingly, acknowledge, acknowledge, but do not ingulge on appearances. Vipassana has taught me on how powerful the mind can be...really, if you do vipassana than you would know what i trying to explain here.

Teacher: Sister Bee ( last student of Acharn Thate)

Linage of vipassana teachers in Thailand:

Great teachers of the past. Many interesting findings related to this guru monks by lay people during their time were related in many books and by their observence, this information were collected by words of mouth and recorded in Thai languague and later translated to English. I felt lucky as this hard work of translation had benefit me and many others more who are like me. They are now well known for their vipassana meditation method adhering to strict forest monks protocols and discipline.

Buddhist Hermitage Lunas - A centre of Vipassana Meditation @ Northern Region of Penang and Kedah state

Buddhist Hermitage Lunas

Founder of this place by the late Sayadaw Suvanno. Buddhist Hermitage is located at a small town called Lunas and can be easily acces from Kulim. Getting to Lunas would take about 45mins drive from Penang Bridge via Bkt. Mertajam town.

Lunas was a town make famous by its townfolks for their local delicacy, roasted duck meal suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A spot for all to enjoy a meal or two. However, this site is not about roasted duck, but a pin point of direction of an excellent site for Vipassana Meditation centre for locals and as well as overseas. Getting to Buddhist Hermitage can be access from main road and driving up of another 850meter  deep into some chinese cemetary spot before reaching it's huge yellow and white painted archway.

Following the signboard through some small road for 850meter you should be able to find this place. Below images attached for readers to see the road.....trees, chinese temples, village house sandwich the only road leading to it.

When approaching the end of the road, one should see the beautiful archway of the hermitage. it is a majestic sight to begin with right in the middle of nowhere....except for the chinese cemetery nearby (image@right)
